Stills to Disc..
Is there any such beast that will capture DIGITAL STILLS (from a still camera) to disc via firewire ? FS4 kinda thing. I know I can capture to laptop but I'm looking for a more managable setup for field work. Something with more storage space than the 1 gig camera cards. This query, although "stills" based, is an extension of my DV workflow, and I'm more confident in asking it on this forum.
If there is no such thing may I suggest that the FireStore boys should be all over this opportunity! (I am aware of the DV camera stills mode etc.) Thanks. |

Your best bet is going to be a 4GB micro-drive. Larger micro-drives are on the way too. Laptops require software to do the capture, so these type recording devices are not yet capable of capturing images over FireWire.
