Problems with HD to DVD, back to .mov
We are using a Mac-based system. PictureReady captures our video in uncompressed HD. We then compress in MPEG2. Turns 150 Gigs into 20. We have been using iDVD to make standard def DVDs for our clients. As we make the DVDs, we had been deleting the original files. We have now come to the realization that we cannot extract the mov files from the DVD after it has been burned. Does anyone know of a way to extract the mov file without playing the movie and re-recording it? Also, is there a good way to get the HD files down to less than 4.7 gigs without using iDVD? Perhpas a way that will not affect the frame size?
