But I love a challenge!
My latest edit of the Scottish School Cross Country Championships.
I am finding it a challenge to capture fast moving action with this camera. Perhaps I should have gone for the 7D, although I love the stills.
Pans and zooms are out of the equation if I want smooth playback. I can only really capture a race with 4 or 5 cameras around the course, or be content with a few shots from strategic points. Love to hear how others are solving this problem. I saw the example in here of the birds flying at 1/2000th I am going to use Tv mode next time and choose as fast a shutter as I can for the available light as when I pause these shots I notice the action is still blurry on the arms and legs.
Also I found it very difficult to manually focus and zoom the Canon 100 - 300 EF USM - as you'll see in some of the stills and video. I guess I am going to have to look into a follow focus.
It was a really windy day and I used the Senheisser MKE400 for the first time. Put a fuzzy windsock on over the foam cover and this relayed all the wind noise into the mic. I now know that I need to put the windsock on without the foam cover. I am looking for a mini-zepplin for the MKE400, any suggestions?
