7D on short film, with BTS shots and some video clips

We wrapped last week on shooting the web series I am DPing. This was the first real, paid gig with the 7D. I wrote a blog post about it after the first day and my experiences using the cam. Here is a new post that talks about the rest of the shoot and includes some clips from the shoot:

Footage looks great, I'm very impressed with it. Props on using the Owl City for your music :)

Just curious, if you had a Sony EX-1 would you sell it to get a video capable SLR like the 5D or 7D?

Thanks Andrew.

I do have an EX-1 and it is the camera I use for most of my jobs. I certainly would not get rid of it as I think it is an exceptional camera and for most of my work it is the camera I will go to first, but the 7D/5D are fun cameras and have great and different images. I think if I was doing mostly narrative type projects I could see only owning a DSLR now, but I do a lot of corporate and broadcast video where a more proper video camera is necessary.

Hope that helps.

Thanks,
Benjamin

Very nice, and the walking shot you spoke about (I'm assuming it when the couple walks down the sidewalk at the end) looks great.

Good work.
