Burning Error Message in DVD Architect 3.0
Hi everybody:
I get an error message every time I try to burn DVDs in DVD Architect 3.0. First off, my computer is a Sony VGC-RC310G. Anyway, when I click on “make DVD,” I get a message that says: “An error occurred during the current operation. An exception has occurred.” Then when I click “okay,” I get the option of sending an error report with the dialogue heading of “dvdarch30.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.” The same sort of thing happens when I try to burn CDs in CD architect. I also can’t directly extract audio from CDs into Vegas or Architect. I’ve only been able to get audio by ripping from Media Player. Anyway, Sony’s online knowledge base wasn’t too helpful. I’ve got the latest version of my software (3.0c) and I also have the latest drivers. Disabling USB readers didn’t seem to do much and my computer is too full of video to defrag my files. I also thought disabling the RAID function might help, as this solved a similar problem I had on another computer. I have one big C drive and about 18 hours of video on my computer. Anyway, on my computer, it looks all I can do is uninstall the Intel(R) 82801GR/GH SATA RAID controller and I’m afraid this would mess things up. This would be possible by using device manager via the control panel. Maybe there’s another way to disable RAID. I looked into reconfiguring RAID and that looks like a dangerous mess with back-up discs required. If anybody has had a similar problem or has any useful input, I’d appreciate it. Thanks, Tristan |
