Converting PAL HDV to NTSC for DVD

I am working on a project that originated on a sony z1u in HDV1080i50. I spent a long time trying to figure out the best way to get this onto an NTSC DVD. Here is what I came up with. Do you guys think this is a valid workflow?

1. Exported project in the Apple Intermediate Codec
2. Conformed from 25fps to 24fps in Cinema Tools
3. Erased slowed down audio from movie in Soundtrack
4. Pasted in original audio and time stretched to sync
5. Converted to 24fps NTSC mpeg2
6. Burn DVD

Everything seems to look fine. It just seems like a somewhat convoluted process and having figured it out myself i would like a little validation.

Thanks for the input.
