DVD random play (scripting?)
I'd like to make a DVD that appears different everytime. So lets say I have 5 tracks, can someone tell me how to play them randomly. So scene 1 would jump to a different scene next everytime? But if I have 5 tracks, I don't want any one track to repeat until all five tracks have finished. Is this simple or complicated scripting?
By the way this is DVD studio pro 4 I'm using. |

I may be mistaken, but I doubt that is in the DVD codec. You may change it by input, but I doubt that it can change itself. I think that that would require a physical change to the disk.
Good Luck thought and I'll keep an eye on this. Mike

I don't know if DVD Studio can do this, but in Encore you could make any number of playlists where you link the clips whichever way you want (a different order each time), then link the playlists one after the other. The DVD will contain only one of each video file, the playlist (very small file) will take care of the "scripting".
Not exactly "random" but will certainly look so if you make many playlists. |
