How to replace video within a DVD?
I need to extract and edit some video from a DVD with a menu. I know how to extract the video, make it an m2v, and then edit it. I just don't know how I would go about putting the edited video back in so it will work with the original menu, especially if there are chapter points.

Mike,
I'm not sure if you authored the DVD, but if you did... As long as you still have all the files used and in their original locations, and the project saved in the authoring software, I would think you could just edit the video file, save it in the same location and with the same name, all should be good. Otherwise...I don't know. Sounds like you didn't author it though. Jamie |

I think you're out of luck, Mike. DVD menus cannot be reauthored unless you have the job file from the program used to author it. There is no "reverse engineering" as far as I know.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. |
