Can menu transitions have audio? (DVD Studio Pro)
I have a three second long Motion clip (containing video and audio) that I am trying to use as a menu transition, from my index menu to each of the chapters that it can jump to. Using DVD Studio Pro version 4.1.0, I can use the video portion of my Motion clip as a menu transition, but I don't know how to add the audio to the transition. When I add the .mov file to my assets, DVD Studio splits it up into a 'Video' and an 'Audio' asset, and I can select only the video asset for the transition.
Is it possible to add the audio portion of the clip to a menu transition also, or does that not work? - Martin

Nope, no audio with Transitions in dvdsp yet!
Maybe use a menu with no buttons and a timeout to where you need to go or a track. Disable all the UOPs so users cant fly off somewhere, its only short so they'll be off again after a sec... Jake |

thanks for confirming this. Your workaround makes sense; however, I'd like to custom-create an alpha transition, and to do that the way you describe would, I fear, force me to customize the transition video separately for each jump from my index menu into the main track, because the image it transitions too is a different one for each chapter. I know it's possible, I was just hoping there'd be a way to make DVD-Studio do most of the work for me. Thanks again for your response! - Martin
