Making custom DVD box sets?
Ya know those box sets that you get when you buy the whole season of something:
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Has anyone done this? We have several dvd's of events and want to try to market some kind of DVD box set where people can order the whole set for a discount. I've looked around and can't find any kind of blank dvd box thing for customization. I'm looking for a box to fit anywhere from 5 to 10 dvd jewel cases. I was kind of hoping to find something that provided you to print out your own label for the box, and apply it, or maybe something with a clear outer sleeve for something to be inserted in. I've seen some duplication services offering produced slipcases and whatnot, but we're not looking to make hundreds right off the bat. We kind of want to make them as they're coming in, as we're not planning on selling hundreds of these a month. Anyone have any ideas? |

Minimum quantity is 1000, which we will probably never sell 1000 of one competition. Any other suggestions? |

If DIY, then the cheapest route is to go to someplace like Meritline and pick up some 4-dvd boxes, some printable dvd box inserts, some printable DVDs and a decent dvd inkjet printer like the Epson R800. Then use you favorite DVD box/label/cover/dvd creation and/or print program and have at it... |

I was thinking that you can get DVD cases that hold from several discs per case and reduce the total number of DVD cases you gave the customer. Actually, you might want to check out Meritline, since they now carry various DVD cases that can hold from 1 to 12 discs per case. |

purchase some DVD box able to fit 4 DVD, remove plastic cover , glue 3 of them together.
glue a cardboard (optional)on the back to make it flat and wrap all the stuf in a thick sticker covering the 2 sides and the back. you can get the sticker sheet pre-printed so no job required except gluing. You also can try a different packaging like CD-case or nylon case. or by a 12 DVD plastic box like this one http://www.jaydisc-media.de/german/d...e_groessen.htm choose DVD-Case / other size Last edited by Giroud Francois; April 16th, 2006 at 03:33 AM. |
