Scenalyzer & JVC DR-DX5SU DVD recorder

Does anybody have a JVC DR-DX5SU DVD recorder? I am able to record the output of my XL-2 direct to my computer using Scenalyzer or Canon's recorder.
However I can not output the video via firewire from my computer to my Panasonic DMR-E95H DVD recorder. I am able to output to my Phillips DVDR615 DVD recorder via firewire.

I am interested in the JVC DR-DX5SU DVD recorder with the built in 250GB hard drive, miniDV tape and DVD recorder drive. However, I do not want another DVD recorder that I can't output via firewire from my computer. I have ripped the video from my computer but that takes too long with the different program I have tried.

Has anybody with a JVC DR-DX5SU DVD recorder tried to record from a computer via the firewire connection? JVC tech support and B&H Photo could not tell me if it would work or not.

Thanks
