DVD's.. interlaced or non interlaced?

do DVD disks output an interlaced or progressive image? there's no chance of you recording a movie in 24p and having to convert it to interlaced right?

DVD will work with both interlaced and progressive video. If you encode a 24p video, the DVD player will create the 3:2 pulldown interlacing on the fly during playback. You can even mix and match interlaced and progressive video on the same DVD.
