Pros and Cons of DVD Recorder
Hello All,
I'm trying to determine if I should invest in a DVD Recorder. One of the brands that I have looked at is the Lite-on LVW 5045 (which has a 160gb HDD) $280.00 and the Lite-on LVW 5005 $120.00. For background information, I video and later edit to DVD my churh's service. I have two Canon GL-2s and edit with Video Vegas 6. Will eventually upgrade to a MX-4 Pro switcher, but that is about a year away. Trying to find a way to get the video in a simpler format than having to bring both "taped" videos home and replaying to capture and then edit. Does the video being recorded on the recorder go directly to the DVD or do I have to author/render it to it? Will using a DVD recorder simplify this process? For now I know that with a recorder, I can at least see what the camera on the sanctuary floor is video taping. Just trying to keep the ship afloat until I can get the MX-4 Pro. Any help in this manner is greatly appreciated. Also if you have some recommendations that will keep me in the $600-$800 price range would be marvelous.
