Another audio question - panning for mono DVD

I've managed to figure out how to export my multiple mono tracks to DVD via stereo mix (simple I know but steep learning curve here) - they're all coming out the central speaker though, it'd be better if they came out the left and right speakers wouldn't it? How do I do that? I did an audio mixdown and exported as stereo. Can I get a mix of -1 and plus one happening without cutting and pasting tracks in the timeline? (I tried to do that actually but failed...)

Thanks guys! You have been brilliant to a girl with a crisis!
