HDV from FCP to DVD using iDVD, best quality?

Hi
I'm burning a dvd of my PAL HDV 1080i footage to DVD, I've tried it using 'current settings' but there is a slight flickering on the titles and in image. These DVDs are going to a festival so would really like to export better quality if possible. Any suggestions? (Bit of a beginner with this as this question probably shows). Thanks!
