Blank DVD Problems
I recently bought a new G5 and have been getting accustomed to using it over the past week and a half. I have been burning successful DVD's using DVDStudio Pro, but when I simply want to burn a data DVD, or CD from the Finder using a "burn folder" I always get an error telling me that the blank media I inserted is incompatible, or something to that effect.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a setting that must be changed? I would say it's the media or the burner, but it works through programs like DVDStudio Pro, just not the typical burn folder. You help is appreciated. |

I seem to get that error when I insert the blank DVD before trying to burn the disk. If I start the burn & get prompted for the disk & then insert it, all is well. This was using Toast.

Thanks. I don't have Toast, but I'll try the burn operation first followed by inserting the disc and see if that solves the problem like you suggested.
