DVD ripping?
Hi I have a problem, I have some footages on dvd and I want to edit it on vegas 5.0, how would I do this? I ripped the file but it was .vob file and vegas doesnt support it. Is there a way that I can rip the footages with vegas or is there a dvd ripper out there that will rip it into a file that vegas will recognize? Or is there a converter program that will convert .vob to a recognizable file without losing my quality? Thanks if any can help.

Hi Sam
I've had to do this quite a bit and have found that the quickest and easiest way is to plug the dvd player into my cam and DV passthrough it into the PC via firewire. Effectively I am "capturing" it as I would a tape from my cam. The files end up as .avi's and the NLE is happy ! |

Sam, you should try Womble Mpeg video wizard which lets you edit vob files directly, check www.womble.com .
