Is there a way I can get hour long HD1 footage onto one single side DVD?
I've already done it with Aspect HD and Premeire pro 1.0, but it is still SD when Encore writes it.
I was just wondering if I could do it in it's native HD format? |

That depends on the DVD format. If you want a DVD-Video disc
that you can pop into any settop DVD player, than no. DVD-Video does not support HD. There are two new formats coming though, HD-DVD and blu-ray. But both are at least a year away. The only ways to distribute HD footage to somebody else are: 1. DVHS: this new tape format is HD, however not many people have a player in their home (yet) 2. some data disc with a HD codec on it for playback on a PC Now the last one can be done with a DVD *DATA* disc (think DVD ROM) and you could store HD MPEG2 (basically what is coming of the camera) or Windows Media HD.
