Hi Shawn,
I don't own a Mac but you can normally tell either, from the manual, or by finding out the make/model of the burner (don't know how you do that on a mac but I presume its easy to do? I think that Macs are supplied with Pioneer DVD burners, depending on the model will depend on what you can burn. If its an A05/105 or below then it will only be capable of burning DVD-R, if its the A06/106 or above then it can burn both formats (DVD-R, DVD+R), you'll probably be pretty save if you use DVD-R. Being that I don't use Mac i'm not 100% certain. Ed

well dude, if ur talking about DISCS. it depends on your burner. most bureners thee days burn dvd-r and dvd+r we well as theyre respective RW counterparts...
one thing to note is that writable dvds are classified as DVD5... dunno why.. commercial dual layer discs are DVD9 (i think the numbers might refer to gb... ?? who knows.. anyway u can only fit 4.4gb on a DVD5.. if u want techy info on these formats check out vcdhelp.com |
