DVD-R Authoring 3.95 GB
I am an amatuer videographer, and have recently done a few small-scale video projects on DVD. Because I was not producing 1000 or more, I ended up burning the discs myself with standard 4.7 GB DVD-R discs, however, there are still alot of people with DVD drives that can't read these.
I have heard that the DVD-R 3.95 GB discs are much more compatible, almost as compatible as DVD-5 or DVD-9, but can anyone tell me if these 3.95 GB discs need a special authoring drive, or can I burn them with my Apple Superdrive? If these are not compatible, can anyone recommend the best brand of 4.7 GB DVD-R that they have had the least compatibility issues with? Thanks! |

I did not realize the 3.95 gb discs were so expensive! Most places carry them for around $10 or more per disk!
What is so much better about these that they can charge so much more? Anyway since I cant use them anyway, would you recommend Verbatim DVD-Rs for 4.7 gb discs also? thanks! |

Try www.meritline.com
www.newegg.com Recommend Ritec and Verbatim. Do not recommend anything below 89 cents. Oh for ritecs go with 4ths they are faster well depending on your drive maybe you will only need 3ths. Good authoring! |
