glossy DVD covers sticking to DVD case
has anyone ever had a problem using glossy DVD case inserts to make covers for your DVD projects?
I use Meritline's case inserts and the matte inserts I never have problems with, but they don't look as nice/professional as the glossy ones, so I don't like to use matte as often. Here's the problem... When I print to the glossy inserts, the ink, even after drying completely, is a little sticky for some reason and sticks to the clear, outer plastic on the DVD case. This stickiness is very visible, and thus, ruins the attractive look of the glossy photo quality DVD cover. I've tried manipulating the printer settings to use less ink but this still doesn't help. In my ignorance about printing, I don't know what else to do. |

I bite the bullet cost-wise and have ours printed full color laser. Costs about 1.25 per, but they do look nice. I'd rather eat that much profit than have clients think our stuff looks bad; besides, then I don't have to worry about moisture, etc.

Thanks, Lorinda. That's a great idea. I'll give my local Kinko's a try (99 cents per color laser print) and save myself the ink and the headaches...
