Can you make vcd using idvd3 or dvdsp2?
Wanting to migrate over to the mac.

No, you'll need a program like Toast by Roxio. I know toast isn't thought very highly of on PC's. But it's a different beast on Mac's, it's the gold standard and very useful for DVD, VCD and CD burning.

I've made some VCD's in the recent past with toast titanium on my Mac and it works well. Don't expect DVD quality or total DVD player compatibility, but when it works right it's pretty damn cool. I've found that the more contrast and color saturation you can bump up the better, the video image can get washed out based on my experiences. Anybody else out ther have any suggestions to combat the wash out?
