dvd authoring
maybe this is an ageold question but i'm new
is it true you cannot author dvds on a mac for mass production?

Define "Mass production"
Most mass production houses will ask for your media on DLT in order to cut glass dvds. DVD's burned in most desktop computers have varying rates of "readabilty" depending mostly on the player they are played on. |

DVD SP can create DLT's or DVD-R and Authoring media. Many replicators are using DVD-R's and to make large and small productions runs. If you ask this question on the Apple DVD list you get many suggestions for replicators, but I suggest finding one in your area for your first few projects. A year ago I had a client produce 10,000 DVD's from a DVD-R that was created on DVDSP.

sorry away from computer just bought GL2 thanks to all the post on this board looking at creating documentaries of my teachers ie Dr Fritz Smith see http:/www.zerobalancing.com currently using old dell 866 will go into further debt to acquire G5. chuck ruland
