I use OS X's Disk Utility for burning disc images.

Nero here. I keep masters of all burnt projects as .iso files. I often need to burn more than one copy of a project. I like the fact that Nero senses when a blank disk is inserted and doesn't need any tending beyond feeding it a constant supply of disks. I don't use Encore anymore beyond burning the initial image file because when it wants another disk it will give you a quizzical look until you tell it you've inserted another disk.

Nero. Dead cheap and simple to use. Hard to argue with that.

Another vote for Imgburn here. I've not had much luck with Nero myself - I've found discs burnt with it won't play on some standalone players, whereas the same ISO file burnt with Imgburn play fine ??

I use ISO Recorder on Windows Vista, they have an XP version also. It adds a menu option to the ISO file so all you have to do is right click and choose Burn ISO (or something similar to that). Free download.
