Colour and outputting to dvd...

Well I'm still having my colour issues. I'm working away but have no idea if what I'm doing will look anything like the final product, but I was wondering this - if I burn it onto dvd and play it to a monitor using a normal dvd player will it look close to the end result or does the player itself then become a variable?

Thanks,
Jay.

Yes, the components in a player determine how the output looks.
The final viewing system (mostly a TV) will determine it more though.
