DVD footage into premiere

How can I get some DVD footage into premiere so that its useable.

I have some student filmes ive done on a DVD and I want to move them into premiere so i can touch them up a bit.

Richard,

You might try opening up the DVD and grabbing the VOB file. Rename or change the extension from VOB to MPEG. Then it should import.

Just tried this and got two problems.

First the clip doesnt have sound, second it isnt the whole length of the clip im trying to get, should be 5mins and its only a couple mins.
There are is only one other .vob file and it is 38kb

Sorry,

I bought a program that converts them to avi's. It is not perfect either but works.

Try using Ripping software to rip out VOB file. Copy and paste MAY NOT WORK!!!

DVD Shrink is software to backup DVD discs. You can use this software in conjunction with DVD burning software of your choice, to make a backup copy of any DVD video disc.
