DVC8: "TV Dinner" by Jon-Paul Stracco
Hello. I know I'm very late with this, but I just found this section of the forum, and I thought I'd try to post a thread. This is my first post on this site, although I've been coming here to peruse the information for some time. I've learned a lot. When I saw that there was a contest it inspired me to actually join the forum so I could put something up. I don't know if anyone is still looking at these threads, but any feedback would be awesome. I see that I'm going to have to up the ante in terms of production value if I'm going to be competitive.
It was a lot of fun making the movie and I look forward to trying again in the future. Thanks. |

Hi Jon-Paul,
I’m sure wishing we had mentioned the feedback sub-forum! Next time you’ll know. :) You did a great job on this movie! When I watched it days ago I liked it pretty well, but watching it again just now I picked up on a few things I really liked. The hunt was definitely my favorite part from a visual standpoint, with nice framing and shot selections. You’ve got a good eye. Your “huntress” did a wonderful job, by the way. Indoors you’ll just have to get into lighting, but for shooting this and acting in it I thought you set up your shots very, very well. It’s kind of funny, too (funny concept) which always scores points with me. I smiled when you swung your arms back to stretch after putting dinner in the oven, smiled again when you held up the utensils the way you did. Keep entering these challenges. I look forward to seeing more of you. I mean, from you. Well….both. :)
