Although it might not have been the original plan, the jig-saw did give your film an eery and unique feel. Which is probably similar to what a drill would have done so I think you made a wise call on the fly.

Now as long as the cord is long enough. It could so easily turn to comedy as he goes for the kill and the cord yanks out of the wall, haha.
