Man, I would jump at that chance in a heartbeat, Guy! There needs to be a larger worldwide network of DV tradeshows.

Seriously, Chris, how would we go about it? We have world class facilities, a dynamic industry, the Gateway to Africa, millions of tourists and a VERY favourable exchange rate. I would really be interested in rolling this stone!

Guy
It would take some major sponsorship from the leading manufacturers in this industry to support it. RES Magazine has a film festival in Cape Town every year. That might be something to look into... expanding what they're doing into a bigger event. |

Howdy from Texas,
For anybody going to MacWorld in San Francisco in early January (see the calender at top of page), be sure to drop by the Canon booth and say hello, it would be great to meet you! |

Chris,
Thanx for the info. Strangely enough my wife is now working at The Video Lab in Cape Town who turns out to be one of the sponsors of Resfest. So I'll start there. I have also picked up the business card for the Digital Video Association of South Africa, so I'll check that out too. Who knows, huh........

Anyone coming to NYC DV Expo?
Hey, I'm still here but it's been a while since my last post.
Is anyone coming to the DV Expo in NYC on the 30, 31, and 1st of February? |

NY DV Show at Madison Square Garden
ZGC will be in the Canon booth at NY DV Show, January 30, 31 and February 1 at Madison Square Garden. Talk to Mizell Wilson, Christine Brnic and Barbara Lowry of ZGC at the booth.
We will be showing the P+S Technik Mini35 Digital Adapter for the Canon XL1/XL1S there as well as doing Canon sponsored sessions, and Maine Workshop sessions held across the street from Madison Square Garden at the Pennsylvania Hotel, Gold Room. See agendas for the sessions: http://www.zgc.com/html/ny_dv_show_seminars.html Sessions are free to holders of badges for the NY DV Show. Mizell, Chris and I hope to see many of you stalwart Watchdog affectionados there! Cheers,

Rob, I understand that the fares between Europe and NYC are not too bad right now. If you don't have time for a trans-Atlantic trip, and I can't change your mind, then it'll have to be another time! I don't believe P+S Technik has a rental facility onboard in the Netherlands, but definitely in Germany, Italy, England, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Australia - FYI.
Cheers,

Forgot to mention that you can get the most up to date listing of worldwide rental facilities for the Mini35 Digital adapter by requesting information from: info@mini35.com.
For US and Canada rental facilities: www.zgc.com. Cheers,

Hi Barbara,
I don't know if you can change my mind, but a trip by plane would cost me around $350 not including extra costs. etc. Thanks for trying to get me there :)
