Anyone else keep getting logged off?
Did something change on the site? Several times I login, write a post and by the time I'm finished 20 minutes later, I click submit and I find myself logged out and the post is lost.

Hi Les..............
Had the problem a while ago, Jeff Cramer posted this link to sort the problem, which it did.

This is actually an old issue and maybe has much to do with tidily and efficiently operating a site as heavily subscribed to as this one. Log ins time out and this can be vexing.
The easiest way around is to copy the topic into wordpad or similar, log out and write the reply at your leisure, login in again and post it. During this time you can also ponder do I really need to do this anyway and by the time you log in again to reply, the answer may well have been conveyed by someone else smarter and more in the knowing of the topic. Bob has given some excellent advice in better words than I would have chosen.

I'd not had the problem with this site before so I was not doing the usual
Compose for a long time select my whole post copy to the clipboard in case the submit fails click submit The problem for me in this case was I had switched to 1Password and the Remember Me was not getting selected on my login. Fixing that fixed the problem. |
