DV Info spammed by Ebay?
My 'New Posts' option is full of Ebay Spam. I suppose it's the same for everyone else.
They are labeled as an Ebay RSS feed. Let's hope that we can get rid of this unwanted intrusion into this excellent forum.

Everything is as it is supposed to be for me....
Do you only see ebay adds when you hit the "New posts"? |

Hi Richard,
As announced in our Classifieds forum at http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/private-c...bay-forum.html -- we have a new board specifically for posting relevant Ebay auctions, which is located at http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/f-ebay/ There's also an automatic RSS feed which brings in related listings to a subforum (it's at http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/ebay-rss-auto-feed/), however nothing from either of these boards should be appearing under New Posts. If you're still getting those links under New Posts, then there's a problem and I'll need your help to diagnose it, such as which OS & browser are you using. Thanks in advance, |

Okay, pretty sure I found the problem... those links were excluded from New Posts
(when logged in), but not Today's Posts (when logged out or unregistered). Fixed. |

Hmm, Chris what if I do a search using a common keyword like "Canon"? The Ebay results span several pages, the forum threads are hard to see...

Hi Chris
Yes, the posts only appeared the one time. They don't now appear in my searches now.

Cole, if you log out and back in again, are you still seeing them? I'm not, FWIW.
Update: I've implented another method to block these from showing in New Posts... |

Gotta say, I really love that show. One of the best things on television right now in my opinion.
The DVR is recording it for us; we'll probably watch it and the results show late tomorrow night. |

Careful, our dish network DVR missed the first half of it :( Seems like the schedule had an incorrect start time.
I think it's quite a bit better than American Idol (which we also watch and love) as it brings alot of culture that wouldn't otherwise make it into a bunch of households... whereas music is much more universal than dance (as an art form rather than just an activity). Worked like a champ BTW, logging out. |
