Hi Gary,
You're not too late to enter; the cutoff occurs when Dylan posts the theme. One time we had so many people signing up he thought he might have to impose an early cutoff, but it worked out. There is no minimum post count or fee. You're in! :)

You must be referring to the donations for charity. At Christmastime Dylan likes to run a Challenge where the winner gets to choose a charity and he sends the donated money there.
We used to donate to the DV Challenge to help with expenses. (Gosh, I haven't done that in a long time!) You can also buy T-shirts if he still has them. Other than that, there's no money involved.
