DVC4 International co production

DVC4 International co production
OK here is a real challenge for those interested. I would like to hook up a few parties and try an international entry for the next competition. To really push the limits of look and feel I would like to mix and match a few different standards and equipment such as
PAL 25p 50i Std def
NTSC 30 / 60 Std Def

I have a xl2 mini35 nikkon primes

So any takers?

Keep me posted. I'm up for a different sort of challenge. I'll probably do my own entry as well but I find I generally have enough time these days.

If you are doing something where the script calls for say an American counterpart who say gets a cell call from a friend in Australia about a British plot to invade a New Zealand Refinery working on a Russian oil pipeline, etc...

If you can work out a multi-national plot where the characters never have to actually meet, that would work pretty cool. You could plan for those old fashioned split screen phone calls and so on. It's old but now that just looks retro.

Let me know how you plan to pull it off and what you might want me to contribute. I can offload footage to a DVD or just send footage on miniDV, etc.

I live in sweden and I might be able to contribute a scene or two. Sean is totally right about how to make it work.

Best way to receive the clips would be over the Internet since sending by regular mail will take longer time than the contest.

I'm interested.
Any thoughts on how we're going to collectively come up with an idea for the film?

I see Noel as the creative talent behind this idea. If he needs help, I'm sure we can all kick in a few ideas. I already gave most of my workflow ideas but the story and shooting plan will likely need to be coordinated by Noel.

Just for the record, and I just posted this info in the official signup thread, I am going to likely be having a minor surgery on my torn right shoulder on Dec 7th. If you folks need my involvement, let's try to get it planned right off the top so I can not worry about leaving you in a lurch.

Happy to help.

Sean

Doh!

Hi guys, first off thanks to all for the response, but Murphy has shown up on my door (best way to find work is plan something else). Just been booked for a full two weeks work starting Monday so my idea goes up in flames this time round :(

I am sure the DVC5 is just around the corner so perhaps we can try next time?

Good luck with the Op Sean!

Thx
Noel

Surgery is sort of happily postponed till the 9th. More shooting days (in minor discomfort) but the bad part is that takes out a Friday and I do love Fridays...

Ah well.

Noel, we'll do this next round. Also note the idea I had on everyone shooting the same script. You'll find it somewhere on this forum. Still sounded like a great idea to me.

See you folks in DVC5 for this one.
