Camera Sony: HVR-Z1U Shot HDV, down converted in camera
Lights: Lowel kit
Edited: G5 Mac with Final Cut Pro 4.5
Sound: Soundtrack with Apple Loops

This is my first film, and it was just me and my sister and her son, playing with the Z1 for the first time.

I am so used to the bird noises in the house that I never thought about it until it was too late to reshoot, so there are some bird noises, but I did give him credits.

Comments are always welcome.

I really liked your idea. That in itself is probably the hardest part. I wish I could have seen more of his secret lives than I did but I understand it was difficult with the lack of actors, etc. Good work though. Hope to see another from you (and everybody) in the next one!

Yeah, I spent over 24 hours just trying to find a dark idea to go with the theme.

Hi Barbara
I liked your concept, and wished you focused more of your time on the research he was doing. I would have dropped the newscast segment (too much headspace in that shot!) for a shorter delivery on his reason for leaving earth. Radio announcement maybe, and used the rest of that time to pack in story about why he was there, and flesh out his character a bit. I might have left the political angle alone, you never know who your judges voted for in the last election. ;) (not me, I'm Canadian)
