Out before it begins
Sadly the calendar gods are not on my side this time around. I actually start teaching a 3 week intensive production class for documentary filmmakers starting on the 28th. Oh well. If any of them turn out to be good maybe I'll recruit some for DVC13.

Question for our fearless leader
Dylan,
I have a potential conflict. I'm scheduled to compete in a 50 hour festival that same initial weekend. Last time I was in one of these things, the initial edit was really rough. I did a reedit that was longer and better. I'd like to do both contests, using the same footage for both films. The rough cut goes to the 50 hour festival, and the longer version with better audio goes to the DV Challenge. Would entering the same/similar film into two contests be legal given the long and complex by-laws that govern the DV Challenge? Dick |
