Title: Clarification of theDVChallenge.com requirement
This is first challenge for me since that requirement was added. My opening to the film is actually a scene for effect, then the titles come up, with the "thedvchallenge.com" card coming up first. After some thought, it occurred Dylan might have wanted everything front end to make his job easier....

If you feel it builds your narrative to do it like that, I have no problem with it. Otherwise, I'd prefer titles right at the start. It's surprising how quickly I can get confused when looking at 30 films in a row. :)
The DV Challenge isn't a rule machine. I don't mind people bending rules a little here and there, as long as it makes them a better film. It is about the challenge, being creative, having people watch and critique your films, and learning along the way. If you can do that without actually breaking the rules outright, I'm happy. Now my warning to everyone who thinks I've just given a license to bend the rules... All things considered, we have very few rules. Some are to keep the playing field level, some are to minimize my work and keep me sane. A sane head judge is a happy head judge! :)
