GLidetrack owners, what tripod are you using?

Hi All,

I'm buying a glide track and need to get an idea about the tripods people are using... please feel free to share.

Thanks,
Scott

I use a Manfrotto 503 head on the track, with the Manfrotto 525 legs.
The 75mm ball makes it so easy to level.

It doesn't matter, as long as the head have no side to side play.
I've used the glidetrack on top of a 503 head and now i use it on top of a vision 3.

I'm currently using it on some small Manfrotto 190XDB sticks. I have the tripod directly attached to the Glidetrack and a Manfrotto 701HDV head on top. This seems to work better than my old method which was to have the Glidetrack on top a tripod/head, with another head on it. Now I'm looking for a way to put something on either side of the Glidetrack so that it doesn't tilt when I get the camera all the way to one end. The camera weighs a little under 5 lbs.

I'm reviving this thread since I now have the identical question.

Scott -- did you ultimately decide on a setup? How are you liking it?

Anyone else want to weigh in on this setup recommendation thread?
