Buying a Dolly...
Hi,
my company is thinking about buying a dolly. We have around 3000 to max 5000 euros for a dollysystem WITH rails/tracks. We would also like to have a dolly where the operator can sit on the dolly. Any suggestions? Don't know really where to look, I have searched here some, but found nothing really impressive... I know it's not the budget for the best dolly in the world, but still... Also, we are based in Belgium, so suggestions from European stores/manufacterers are welcome too. Thanks in advance, |

There are some really interesting designs around apart from the std doorway dolly - it really depends on what your needs are.
will the dolly be left in the studio? or is it mainly for location use? will it be used inside on smooth floors or all over the place in uneven terrain? will you always have an operator and a dolly grip or will the cameraman be laying track & operating the dolly by themselves at times? the answers to these questions determine your needs and you get less distracted by price / irrelevant features. while you're thinking about that you can look at: www.kesslercrane.com Losmandy Dollies and Accessories |
