Anyone try this? any thoughts? I know its not going to be great but for the price it will possibly be better than a tripod on wheels. |

I've used a similar system, but not this exact one. What you will find is this scheme is really limited to very smooth, even floor. You will also find that when using a tripod in a situation like this it's hard to make perfectly smooth moves because the center of gravity is very high. Once your terrain becomes rough, or uneven, you're going to want more rigid track. For short moves on uneven terrain, look at their own ladder dolly arrangement.

What about an indiedolly? its about 2300 for a straight and curved track and dollie as opposed to 520.00 but for very basic moves on flat floors it looks like it may be better than a tripod and wheels alone.
Anyone use the indiedolly? |
