Where can I find historical footage for a documentary?
Does anyone know where I can find historical footage for a documenatary? I need early footage of the U.S. and international if possible.
Thanks for any info. Gilbert |

try library of congress website
i believe that all of their footage is public domain so buying rights is not an issue. there are, of course, dozens of archival footage houses/websites but u will be paying a rights fee for all footage from those sources. after looking over loc report back to this forum with your findings enjoy the process be well rob |

try archive.org - they have a lot of historical footage available without charge. you usually have to transcode it, but it's still pretty good.
