Inconspicuous Shooting

I started a thread in the General forum comparing the Panasonic TM 700 vs Canon Vixias vs Sony CX500V for inconspicuous shooting because these seem to be the cameras that are best able to be inconspicuous while providing very good video quality/features, but I wanted to start a thread in here and see if any of you do inconspicuous shooting with cameras other than the few I mentioned.

What do you use? What would you recommend? What have you noticed are important features to have?

Beyond the hardware, do you have any other advice when it comes to inconspicuous filming?
