EditReady 1.2 adds AVCHD and HDV (crossgrade for ClipWrap users)

Hey all - we've just announced EditReady 1.2, which adds support for AVCHD and HDV. Basically, this is everything you can do in ClipWrap, plus all the features of EditReady, in one application. Thanks to the modern pipeline in EditReady, transcodes from AVCHD and HDV are way faster too.

There's a $29.95 crossgrade for ClipWrap users, which you can get to via:
EditReady : Upgrading from ClipWrap - divergent media

You can learn more about editready at:

Let us know if you have any questions (support@divergentmedia.com), we love hearing from our users.

-Colin

Colin, thanks for posting this. I had no idea there was a new and improved ClipWrap like software available. I use and recommend ClipWrap all the time.

I just submitted my request to get the upgrade (I purchased ClipWrap on the Mac App Store), but I'm curious if EditReady will downrez footage? That would be a killer feature for me as I typically shoot in 4K on my GH4 for the look of it, but rarely need it to be in 4K, and would love a simple way to just drag the footage into a nice utility and have it spit out a high quality downscale into ProRes or some other format. If it does, awesome! If not, consider that a feature request!

It won't do that today, but now that this update is out the door, scaling is our number one priority. We have some really cool stuff planned for that.
