ScopeBox as capture app ... capabilities?
Apologies in advance for the long list of questions, especially as they are quite probably regarding the use of the application in an unintended fashion ie as a standalone capture software.
Can you tell me what kind of device control (if any) is supported via Scopebox? Will it, for example, allow capture via HD-SDI with embedded timecode and device control? Will it in fact allow for log and capture from device controlled sources at all? And if so, can a batch capture list be thusly generated and/or can a batch capture list be imported? And again, if so, what logging list formats are accepted? Many thanks Andy |

Andy,
ScopeBox is primarily designed for live video... we have simple deck control (play/pause/ff/rw) but no support for jump to tc, batch recording, etc. Mike |

Thanks Mike
Can you elaborate on the "simple deck control" ... what device protocols do you support for this operation? I'm specifically interested to know if you guys support SMPTE RP188. Best Andy |

Andy,
We support AVC over firewire and rs-422 serial. We don't do PR188, though it's possible some cards will parse the tc data and present that to us as serial. -mike |
