adding a button to video
I have what I think is a simple task: take a DVD that was set up to start playing upon inserting - and add an on screen "play" button at the head.
there are no menus currently on the DVD - just one video segment. I tried ripping the DVD video to an AVI file, and then re-encoded to MPG and created the DVD with button via DVDit software - but the audio is out of sync by about half a sec! is there an easier way without having to rip it? thank you! |

the only way to add a button is through the menu function in the DVD authoring software. No short cuts as far as I know.

If the DVD is not scrambled, use MPEG Streamclip to rip it to mpeg or m2v and m2a. This will not alter the video in any way (no re-encoding).
Author your new DVD in the software of you choice using the resulting video/audio. |
