DVDSP 1.5 & Plextor 716UF Help!
I am still using DVD Studio Pro 1.5...yeah I know...Just bought Plextor external DVD drive...716UF...It will play DVDs fine, but I am having a problem recording with DVDSP. When formatting the drive is recognized along with my AO4 drive, I select the Plextor and insert disc, then get a error 37 formatting error. I have tried patchburn, but am not sure if I am using it correctly. Please help!!!

Keep in mind that burning program generally must support your drive. If this
is a new drive it may be a good bad that your (old) DVD SP version simply does not properly use this drive. Perhaps it is time to upgrade to DVDSP 4?

I ended up having to do a double patch and treat it as if my drive was not recognized at all and now it works fine. You are right about the upgrade though. I just have custom templates already built in 1.5, so haven't found the urgent need to upgrade...call me old school.
