miniDV to DVD-R...considerations for sending finished product to Ghana
As a favor, I am videotaping an event for a friend who then wants the edited product to be sent to Ghana so friends and relatives will be able to view it.
So all of a sudden, I am freaking out about how I can possibly ensure that what I give the person will be viewable in Ghana. So my Sony miniDV camcorder is a DCR-TRV18. I was intending to simply import the raw DV footage into my iMac, edit with iMovie and then export to iDVD, burn a DVD and give it to my friend. But now I'm wondering about Region Codes, NTSC vs Pal and whether that all comes into play with this project. Help please. Michael |

Make it PAL
According to http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePag...television.php the TV system of the country is PAL, so after editing, you need to compress to a PAL DVD.
