Any News From JVC?

I was just wondering if JVC has any camera announcements?

JVC new cams

nope - the HV20 is their latest (edit - nope, that's Canon as Greg points out below), but that was already out, and the GY-HD110, 200, & 250 are their latest full size. They did come out with a PL lens mount adaptor that line. I'll be covering in detail in next coupla days.

Oops!

Doh! Well, that's what I get for:

a.) Not checking my notes, and

b.) seeing 5 camera vendors in 2 hours

: )

But yeah, no notable new cameras from either JVC nor Canon - was kind of a slow year for new mid-range cameras. Sony's XDCAM EX should be VERY interesting however, and on paper looks to be a better deal than the HVX200. But of course, it'll have to ship and we'll have to wait and see how it looks.

Canon never announces new camcorders at NAB. The moment in the spotlight at NAB always belongs to Canon BCTV, and to Canon Free Space Optics, but not Canon Video. Hope this helps,
