NAB 2007 Expo Video Coverage is Online
Whew, what a day! We just finished uploading two video segments from today's NAB Expo. There will be another episode go live tomorrow AM, and several updates throughout the day and evening. We'll do our best to keep up this breakneck pace through Thursday.
You can download video or subscribe to the FreshDV NAB 2007 video podcast feed at http://www.freshdv.com/nab/ Today we've got a good look at the new HPX-500 camera from Panasonic, as well as a few updates on P2 and a look at the P2 Mobile and P2 Gear. And if you've been holding out for a 3rd party P2 solution...then you'll want to stay tuned tomorrow. ;-) We're having a blast on the showroom floor, and getting our mitts on some really cool gear. If there is something in particular you'd like to see, we'll do our best to be your eyes and ears on the ground. The schedule is crazy, but we'll do our best. |

Best NAB Ever...
We're back from Las Vegas, man what a whirlwind it's been! Best. NAB. Ever. Tons of great announcements, new gear and capabilities, it is no doubt a good time to be a filmmaker.
Many thanks to Chris Hurd here at DV Info and also Videoguys for supporting our coverage of NAB 2007. It is very much appreciated. Keep watching freshdv.com, we've got tons more footage to go through, edit, and share. We'll be posting more video podcasts over the coming days and weeks. Thanks for watching! Red update
Just posted a 720p version of our interview with Red's Ted Schilowitz. 328mb of HD goodness. Some good shots of the camera in there as well. Next up is our interview with the DP of Peter Jackson's short made with the alpha cams.

Thanks for the coverage!
In the HPX-500 podcast, the Panasonic-guy talks about an HPX-2000 demo regarding gain. Does anyone know if that's online somewhere? |

An update of note
We just posted another NAB video, this one is a fast-moving compilation video covering a number of interesting items and products that we believe are highly relevant and timely for independent videographers. A good way to catch up on some great news without investing a lot of time. Some items have been covered in our long list of NAB 2007 videocasts, but a few are shown for the first time here.
Products demonstrated include the Varizoom DV Media Rig, Anton Bauer Elipz accessories, Dedolight Light Heads, VFGadgets Directors EyeLiner, Lens Swing-Away and RedEye WA Adapter, Nada Chair Shooters Vest, Bartech Focus Device, Frezzi Micro-Fill Camera Light, syncVUE Pro, 16×9 Tele-Adapter and Wide-Angle Adapter. Download the video or subscribe to the feed here. You'll also find two sweet promo offers, compliments of Videoguys and Nattress. Thanks for watching! |
