2/3" Single Chip CMOS Sensor
This would be perfect for a DVC30/GL2 type camcorder.

If anyone knows of a HDV Mini-Cam let me know. Would love a minature cam, 16:9 with firewire into the Sony HVR-M10/15 VTR.

The MicroHDTV should be interesting but this camera like the Iconix is limited by the size of the VTR you have to use to take a feed.

Our Mini-Cams are used with GVD1000 Clamshells making them perfect for helmet cam, bikes etc. Waiting for a 16:9 product that can go to a small portable recorder.

I think I saw one being held by Justin Timberlake at the Grammys! Definitely looked like REALLY good 1080i footage up close on JT's face.

2/3 CMOS 1080p at 60 this little thing might be punching quite a kick.
After reading the article I am sure the Institute will not be peddling this little marvel so how long do you thing it will take for something like this to reach us, either in its actual form or in a repackaged product
Cheers
Patrick

My guess is that it became just another in a long line of concepts that stayed on the drawing board.
