No Sony Vegas 7.0 at this time.

I spoke with Sony Media Software today (April 24, 2006).

They stated that they have no information to provide concerning the next release of Sony Vegas. Sony Vegas 6.0d is still the current release.

I just talked to the Vegas product manager at the Sony booth. 7 is due out this fall, 4 months away folks. For the short term they will be showing the new Cinescore software which is going to bring semi automated scoring for film and video to a new level. I saw him demo it and it's easy and fun.

XDCAM HD will be added with 7 too.

When 7 comes out, the new cinescore will completely integrate with it.

Be patient folks. Better stable than quick.

That sounds good.

According to Sony Media Software's website, the Cinescore is coming soon. There is information and a brochure available on the website.

Man oh man, I can't wait for 7.0. I don't know what else they can add to make it better, but knowing them, they'll think of something.

I just want HDV capture with scene splitting. That's all I ask.

maybe they have to now take into account AVCHD???

with all the news lately about AVCHD, suddenly things start to make sense.... ie. "delay" in Sony Vegas 7.... why HC3 was "allowed" to be "inferior" to "HC1"....The Da Vinci Code....

hmmm....
